Trails

Attention:

An extensive beaver deceiver project was recently completed on the Heron Trail, please proceed with extreme caution when walking. There is an area that is very rocky and very muddy. The trail will be fixed in the spring/summer of 2024. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

the trails are muddy, wear boots!

The trails are open daily from dawn to dusk and free to use!

Volunteer Tim Johnston spent many weeks studying Great Blue Herons, with most of this video’s footage being right here at the Great Swamp Conservancy! See up close views of our rookery and the abundant life surrounding it.

We also have trails at two properties that are within a mile of our main location. These two short trails are typically dry most of the year.
