“We are all very excited for this concert! My name is Kevin Spooner (Baritone), I am a rising junior Vocal Performance major at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY. Benjamin O’Connell, (Baritone) is a recent graduate of Oneida High School and will be attending Syracuse University in the fall, studying Music Education. Mary Brown, (Soprano) is a recent graduate of Oneida High School and will be attending MVCC in the fall, studying General Education. Mrs. Heather O’Connell, Choral Director at Oneida High School, will be the collaborative pianist for this concert.
As young people that will be the generation to experience climate change, we find it important to raise money for environmental organizations, such as the Great Swamp Conservancy. We are so humbled for the opportunity to give back to our local community. The GSC is located in our very own backyard, Canastota. The Great Swamp Conservancy reaches out to our local youth in Madison County, teaching them about “the importance of wetlands, wildlife, and natural resource conservation.” We find that the values of the GSC align with our own, to preserve and teach Madison County about the importance of nature. “
